Many of our projects today will include combining retrocommissioning services with Level 1 and 2 ASHRAE Energy Studies. The software tools we developed (Cx/TAB Kit) that analyze data as our field technician’s record performance will make this task quite easy. Through this collection of data and automated analysis, we provide real time potential energy savings based on real performance of the equipment being tested.
We also do automatic calculation of reduction in carbon footprint through retrocommissioning or possible building upgrades such as optimizing chiller performance or tuning pumping systems to meet actual load conditions. We have countless examples where we have provided this service for our clients. Basically you cannot optimize what you cannot measure, and this is a process to validate the work being done or provide an expected payback for upgrades proposed to reduce energy and increase system efficiency.
